II — The Tour
Confirmed Live Engagements
Tavy played twelve shows between 2019 and 2022. Each was attended. The following four were documented.
THE FORGOTTEN OAK
"Energy in the room was complex." — Tavy
THE OUTBACK LOUNGE
"They were really listening." — Tavy
BACKSTAGE · THE OUTBACK
"Every artist warms up differently." — Tavy
LOAD-OUT · THE OUTBACK
"Independent artist means independent." — Tavy
CLIP · THE FORGOTTEN OAK · APR 14, 2021 · 22:47
Recovered audience-cam footage of Tavy mid-set at The Forgotten Oak. The track is "Frostbite Freestyle." The audience response was, in the artist's later words, "complex." The booing builds slowly through the clip. Tavy does not stop. Tavy does not break verse. Tavy finishes the song. The artist remains in his shape.
Then the music stopped.
The wires didn't.
III — Life After the Music
Electric Electrical, in Practice
In 2023, Tavy traded the booth for the breaker. He has been residentially-adjacent ever since. The following are documented engagements. Names of clients have been omitted at the request of their insurance providers.
-
JOB N° 047
Panel Refresh, Residential Basement
Client requested "neaten up the panel." Tavy refreshed the entire breaker layout from his own intuition. The work includes two melted wire nuts, one shoelace, and a connection to a circuit Tavy describes as "for vibes."
↳ Witnessed by: client's father, in doorway, with apple. No comment.
-
JOB N° 052
Ceiling Fan Install
Tavy installed a 52-inch fan in a 6'2" ceiling. The fan is operational. The smoke detector that was previously in that location has not been reinstalled. Tavy describes this as a "choice of priorities."
↳ Witnessed by: client's father, in doorway, with apple. Still no comment.
-
JOB N° 061
"Smart Home" Conversion
Client asked Tavy to make the basement "more connected." Tavy fully wired the basement. The wires are held up with duct tape. One wire goes into the fish tank — Tavy explains this is for the heater. The fish are unaware.
↳ Witnessed by: client's father, on stairs, reading The Idaho Statesman. Did not look up.
-
JOB N° 074
Driveway Lamppost
Tavy installed a 9-foot decorative lamppost at the foot of a suburban driveway. The lamppost is operational. The lamppost is also leaning at thirty degrees off vertical. Tavy describes the lean as "intentional, for the breeze."
↳ Witnessed by: a passing elderly gentleman, with groceries. Paused. Smiled. Walked on.
-
JOB N° 089
Exterior Fuse Box Service Call
Service call during an active rainstorm. Tavy responded in 10 minutes flat. An umbrella was held over his head by a kind older gentleman from a neighboring property. Tavy is grateful. The fuse box has since been replaced by a different electrician.
↳ Witnessed by: said elderly gentleman, with umbrella. Steady arm. Patient expression.
IV — Personal
With Josie
Tavy lives in [REDACTED] with his girlfriend Josie. Josie is the reason any of his shirts have ever been clean. Josie does not endorse his electrical work and has asked us to say so on the record.
↳ Josie has her own work and her own website. We will not link to it from here.
V — The Autograph Hour
A Standing Saturday Tradition.
Every Saturday from noon to three, Tavy sets up a small table outside the strip-mall on Vista Avenue with a sharpie, a stack of glossy 8x10s of himself, and his merchandise. He sits there. He waits.
CLIP · VISTA AVENUE · NOON · 2025
A typical hour. The clip is from May 17, 2025. The pedestrian is a regular at the dry-cleaner two doors down. Tavy is, in this footage, asking if she would like a signed photo. She has indicated, with her body and her face, that she would not. Tavy continues to set up at noon. The table will be there Saturday. It will be there next Saturday too.
